Base, Unique, Reprint and Mirror

Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket has many cards with different IDs but identical contents (attacks, Abilities, HP and so on). PTCGP DB groups cards with identical contents and gives each card a Duplicate label. You can filter by it under Duplicate in the General search category.

• Base…among cards with identical contents, the one with the oldest ID (usually the ♦–♦♦♦♦ version from its debut pack). It represents its group.
• Unique…promo cards whose contents do not exist on any regular card.
• Reprint / Mirror…cards with the same contents and rarity as the Base card but a different ID (reprints in later packs and their alternate versions).

• Original data such as tags is attached to Base and Unique cards and copied automatically to cards with identical contents, so every version can be found with the same tags.
• Turn on Skip reprints & mirrors under Duplicate to remove reprints and mirrors from the table.

For a collection, differences in rarity and pack matter; for battle, one entry per set of identical contents is enough. The duplicate groups let the site serve both uses.
