Overview

This panel calculates the odds of drawing cards from your deck. Build the board you want to check inside the panel and calculate from it. Nothing you do here is reflected on the playmat.

Pick a mode for what you want to know

• Set steps: When you want to check “if I use cards in this order, will I get the cards I want?” Line up the cards to use one by one and compare different orders.
• Set deadline: When you want to see, turn by turn, “by which turn am I likely to have the cards I want?” Set a priority order for the cards to use; they are used automatically, and the odds of having the cards by turn 1, turn 2, … are listed.
• Set goal: When you want to know “the odds that this card is in my hand or in play on turn n”. It gives the odds when cards are used in the best possible way, including evolving and retreating.

Basic flow

1. 1Choose a list from the dropdown in the top row, or load the current playmat with “Your play board” / “Opponent's play board”
2. 2If needed, tap cards in the list or in play to move them and set up the board you want to check
3. 3Choose a mode tab (Set steps, Set deadline, Set goal) and set the conditions
4. 4Check “Odds” at the bottom of the screen (for Set deadline and Set goal, press “Calculate odds” to its left)

Board operations

• Tap a card in the list or a spot in play to open the card info, then use buttons such as “Deck”, “Hand”, “Battle” and “Bench” to move it.
• Tap a Pokémon in the Active Spot or on the Bench to raise or lower the number of attached Energy. Only the count matters (types are not distinguished); it is used by Set goal with “From board state” to check whether there is enough to retreat or attack. Moving the Pokémon from play to the hand or deck resets it to 0.
• The “Discard” button shows the discard pile in place of the list.
• “Deck (count)” at the top left is the number of cards in the deck on the current board.

Tabs, reset and saving

• You can make up to 8 tabs. “Duplicate tab” copies the current tab as is, which is handy for comparing small changes. Each tab name shows the calculated odds.
• Use the note field under the tabs to describe what the tab is for.
• “Reset” to the right of the mode description resets only the settings of the mode shown (the board stays as it is).
• “Reset all” in the top row resets everything except the chosen list (all cards go back to the deck and the settings of every mode are cleared).
• When a calculation takes a while, “Calculating...” appears. Stop it with “Cancel” or the Esc key.
• Settings are saved in your browser and remain after you close the panel or reload the page.
