Set goal

Set a goal such as “this card is in my hand or in play on turn n” and calculate the odds of reaching it. It gives the odds when the allowed cards are used in the best possible way: changing the order based on what you drew, retreating, using evolution Items, and so on. Without deciding every detail, you can see how likely your deck is to reach the goal.

How to use

1. 1Choose “From game start” or “From board state”, and choose how far to look with “Turn 1 – up to turn n”
2. 2Under “Goals”, create conditions with “Add condition” (choose by when, where, which card and how many or more)
3. 3In the per-turn table, set whether to attach Energy, use an attack or play a Stadium each turn, and values such as the opponent's hand size
4. 4In “Cards to use”, check the cards that may be used
5. 5Press “Calculate odds” at the bottom of the screen

Goal conditions

• With several conditions, you get the odds of meeting all of them. Delete a condition with the red “−”.
• The place can be “Hand”, “In play”, “Battle”, “Bench”, “Drawn” or “Cards drawn”. “Drawn” is the number of copies that have come to the hand or into play at least once so far (used cards count too), and “Cards drawn” is the number of cards drawn from the deck.
• “By turn n” is judged by the state at the end of that turn. Cards drawn earlier also count if they are still there at that point.
• There is only one goal. To compare with a different goal, use “Duplicate tab” and calculate it in another tab.

About the calculation

• From game start: All cards start in the deck, and the calculation starts from the first 5 cards (always including a Basic Pokémon) and choosing the Pokémon to put in the Active Spot and on the Bench. On turn 1 you cannot evolve from the hand or use evolution Items. If “Going first” is checked, no Energy is attached on turn 1.
• From board state: The calculation starts from the current board in the panel and the Energy attached to Pokémon in play.
• Energy is counted without distinguishing types, to check whether there is enough to retreat or attack.
• The calculation takes time. With complex conditions or effects (many cards to use, cards that return your hand to the deck, and so on) it may show “Cannot compute”. In that case, reduce the conditions or the cards to use.
• “Slightly less accurate odds” and “Much less accurate odds” mean the same as in Set deadline.
• Disruption by the opponent is not considered.
• After changing settings, press “Calculate odds” again.
